1Malaysia Young Entrepreneur Challenge (1MYEC) Program

PUTRAJAYA, 28 March 2011: Ministry of International Trade and Industry Malaysia (MITI) recently launched 1Malaysia Young Entrepreneur Challenge (1MYEC) program with the main objective of giving new local graduates guidance to become entrepreneurs, specifically in obtaining project financing to kick off the business. Graduates are required to attend Graduate Entrepreneur Scheme training before they can apply for the Graduate Entrepreneur Fund. The 1MYEC program was officiated by the Deputy Minister of International Trade and Industry Malaysia (MITI), YB Dato’ Mukhriz Tun Mahathir.

Bank Muamalat and other agencies such as Guarantee Corporation (CGC), TEKUN Nasional and SME Bank also participated in the 1MYEC program by opening their Business Advisory counters which provided consultancy to SMEs.
